My name is Terri McCarter. I have been teaching at Pigeon Forge Primary School since August 1998. I have taught Kindergarten, first grade, 1st/2nd Multi-age, and third grade. 

     I am lucky to say that teaching runs in my family. Both of my sisters, Trish Cole and Bridgette McCarter, are also teachers. My grandmother, Nelle McCarter, taught at Pigeon Forge Elementary School for many years. 

     I have one child, a daughter named Emily. She attends Mars Hill University in Mars Hill, North Carolina. She is a member of their world-renown championship clogging team, Bailey Mountain Cloggers.  This summer she will be traveling with BMC to France in order to represent the United States at three folk dance festivals.

     Reading is my passion. There is nothing in the world like sharing a book with a friend - young or old!
